BD MAXシステムは、臨床検査室における体外診断（IVD）用途で、FDA承認または認可された核酸検査を実施することを目的としています。
様々なサンプルタイプからの核酸の自動抽出・精製、および蛍光PCRを用いた標的核酸配列の自動増幅・検出を可能にします。
BD MAXシステムは、以下の機能を備えています。- 独立した核酸抽出・精製。
- 24チャンネルにわたるサーマルサイクリングを用いたPCR増幅。
- 増幅産物のリアルタイム検出。

- 外部バーコードスキャナーを用いた各サンプルバッファーチューブの識別。
- 内蔵バーコードスキャナーを用いたワークリストの検証。
- 最大5波長での蛍光検出により、サイクル閾値（CT）コールを用いたマルチプレックス反応、または融解分析を用いたマルチプレックス反応が可能です。
