How to keep Machinio emails out of your spam folder

Spam folders serve a very important role in protecting your mailbox and computer from unsolicited emails. However, in some cases, the mailbox provider incorrectly identifies emails such as Machinio leads as spam. In this post, we will provide information on how to ensure that your Machinio leads are delivered directly to your inbox. We will discuss major email providers like Gmail, Outlook, and iCloud.com.

General note

Please be aware that Machinio will never ask for personal information like payment details or passwords via email.  Please contact Machinio customer service if an email looks suspicious.

Gmail

Gmail is one of the most popular email providers in the world and is popular among Machinio clients. Gmail has a separate folder called “Spam” where it holds all suspicious emails. If you find any Machinio emails marked as spam in this folder, you can unmark them by doing the following:

1. Open Gmail on your computer
2. Hover your cursor to the left and click “More”.
3. Then click on “Spam”.
4. Open the Machinio lead email
5. At the top, click “Not spam”*

*”Not spam” can be found next to “Delete forever”

How to prevent future emails from being marked as spam

Gmail gradually learns which messages are safe and which are spam based on your input. By marking Machinio emails as “not spam,” Gmail should quickly learn to deliver these emails to your inbox instead of your spam folder.

Outlook, Hotmail or Microsoft mail

Hotmail and Microsoft addresses are accessed by logging into Outlook.com. Outlook has custom email filters that work differently than Gmail. To remove emails from the junk folder, follow the steps below:

1. Open Outlook on your computer
2. Go to the left and click on “Junk E-mail”
3. Select your Machinio leads
4. Right click on them and select “Move”
5. Select the applicable folder (e.g. inbox)
6. Go back to inbox and search for Machinio leads

How to add Machinio to the Safe Senders list

It is possible to add emails to your Safe Senders Lis. Any email on this list is considered safe, regardless of the content and attachments. By adding @machinio.com addresses you can receive our lead requests. 

1. Go to the “Tools menu” and click on “Options”
2. On the “Preferences tab”, under Email, click “Junk E-Mail”
3. Click the “Safe Senders” tab
4. Add the @machinio.com address

Outlook also offers to automatically add email addresses to whom you send an email to the Safe Senders List.

iCloud.com / Apple email

Suspected spam emails within Apple email are automatically moved to the Junk folder. From this folder, the emails will be automatically removed after 30 days. In order to unmark an email as spam, the emails need to be moved from Junk to the inbox.

1. Open Mail on iCloud.com, click on the Junk folder 
2. Select the Machinio leads and do the following
3. If you have only one message hit the" arrow" button, then click “Move to inbox”
4. If you have multiple messages click “Mark”, then click “Move to Inbox”
5. Afterwards messages from the same sender are no longer automatically identified as Junk
